Doris was found on the side of the road with a severely infected wound on her neck and a possible TVT tumor. We knew Doris had been abandoned by her monster owners because she had never been seen in the area before.
We brought her into our Healing Centre and treated her deep wound for nearly 3 months. The maggots had nearly eaten into her brain. She was very long suffering with her wound being cleaned out and bandaged every day.
Then Doris was bitten by a very poisonous Kaba snake!! It's one of the most dangerous snakes in Thailand and it's venom rots the skin. Three days after it bit Doris the swelling around her face continued to blow up alarmingly. We rushed her to the vet again who knew it was a Kaba snake when he saw how the swelling had spread. We treated the horrible bite which had rotted her skin round her neck for over a month before it healed.
After she recovered Doris had to have 4 chemo injections to kill the TVT cancer infection in her vulva. The injections laid Doris low for several weeks but happily she was strong enough to pull through.
Doris is living out her life with a group of younger dogs who love her. Sadly her eyes are beginning to fade through cataracts.
Please sponsor Doris through her old age. She has had such a hard time since she was heartlessly thrown out by her monster owners. Doris would be so grateful.
It is so sad to think that this terrified girl was thrown out by her owners just because she was getting older but this happens often in Thailand. We are grateful that we were able to spot Doris when we did are provide her with the care she needs. Please consider donating to her care so she can live out the rest of her days healthy and happy.
