FeeFah caught with rope embedded in neck

Updated: Mar 19

A stray dog was found wandering round the school where we trapped and spayed 4 dogs last week. He had a rope tied so tight round his neck it was eating into his flesh. We can only guess he chewed through the rope and escaped from his owners

The rope must have been cutting into his neck for a long time as the smell of rotting flesh was strong and maggots abundant. Our vet sedated the dog, cut the rope and cleaned the wound but couldn't stitch it due to deep infection.

Our team tried to catch the dog for 3 days and were successful yesterday. He is friendly but scared of his new surroundings with so many people around.

Feefah is now at our healing centre. His neck wound is responding well to daily treatment and he has lots of energy to jumping around in his pen and barking for attention.
